Wheel of The Year altar centrepiece

The artwork celebrates the pagan wheel of the year and marks each of the eight sabbats. Winter Solstice, Imbolc, Spring Equinox, Beltane, Summer Solstice, Lughnasadh, Autumn Equinox and Samhain.

These Wheel of the Year artworks are hand engraved using my own design, on natural birch wood slices. I have engraved them using a pyrography pen which burns the design into the wood. This technique creates a beautiful texture within the design which really brings everything to life. To enhance the grain of the wood I have finished each piece with a fine coating of eco friendly varnish.

They have been designed to use as altar centrepieces. You can turn them as each turn in the Wheel of the Year arrives, using them as inspiration to decorate your altar and create ritual.

Do you use some of the more modern names for the sabbats such as Ostara instead of Spring Equinox or Lammas instead of Lughnasadh? Please just let me know and I can use the names that resonate with you most. This doesn’t affect the overall style or symbolism within the art.
